Empire State Building (ESB), a 102-story skyscraper located in New York City, has announced the launch of its new ambassador program. The program, featuring NFTs for new and frequent visitors, is brought to fruition through a collaboration with the Web3 loyalty program Uptop and the wallet provider Magic.
The ambassador program revolves around the Empire State Observatory Experience, an open-air observation where visitors go to see a 360 view of New York and as far as five other states – Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Delaware – on a clear day.
Owned and managed by the Empire State Realty Trust, the Observatory recently went through a $165 million renovation. An interactive museum, visitors’ entrance, and an “iconic 86th and 102nd Floor Observatories” were part of the renovation.
Visitors join the newly introduced loyalty program by purchasing tickets to the 86th and 102nd floors via the ESB website. The ambassador program features several tiers with varying traits and benefits. They are the Ambassador, Bronze Ambassador, Silver Ambassador, Gold Ambassador, and Platinum Ambassador.
Newly registered members receive an NFT. These members receive more custom NFTs as they move to higher tiers. Exclusive NFTs serve as a “digital keepsake” and access to other personalized perks for holders. These NFTs are designed and distributed by Uptop.
Highlighting how the ambassador program will benefit fans of the ESB, the Empire State Building Observatory president Jean-Yves Ghazi said:

The latest foray by the ESB emphasizes the role NFTs can play in real-world activities such as streamlining tourism experiences. Other platforms have deployed similar NFT-focused programs for adventure-seeking users. The ESB welcomes everyone to experience this thrilling experience!
