What happened at TIFF?

The premiere brought together notable figures in music and entertainment, including Pharrell Williams, who served as executive producer, and Coi Leray, who provided voice work and music for the special. The 20-minute animated film also features original music from artists such as Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, and Swae Lee.

Directed by Doodles co-founder Burnt Toast and produced through his studio, Golden Wolf, the special was accompanied by a broader campaign that included music videos and live events.

“After meeting with various studios, we decided to bet on ourselves and develop ‘Dullsville and The Doodleverse’ with an experience that goes way beyond a pilot or film,” said Julian Holguin, CEO of Doodles. “As one of the largest and most influential film festivals in the world, TIFF is the perfect place to debut this milestone project from Doodles.”

History of Doodles

Doodles started in 2021 as an NFT project, recognized for its distinctive pastel-colored art style.

The project gained a following among digital collectors, establishing itself as one of the leading names in the NFT space. Since then, Doodles has expanded its focus to include music, animation, and partnerships with well-known brands.

The premiere of Dullsville and The Doodleverse at TIFF highlights Doodles’ transition from a digital art project to an entertainment company, with ongoing plans to build on its intellectual property through further collaborations and content development.
