Multinational fast food chain McDonald’s has partnered with the popular Ethereum-based NFT project Doodles for a special holiday campaign. Starting November 18, customers can buy drinks in over 100 million limited-edition McCafé cups featuring Doodles’ colorful artwork at locations across the United States.
The “GM Spread Joy” campaign combines holiday traditions with digital fun. Customers who buy a drink in these cups using the McDonald’s app will unlock various digital rewards.
These rewards include McDonald’s-themed virtual items, access to Doodles’ animated series Dullsville and the Doodleverse, Good Mornin’, the campaign song sung by Marley Bleu and produced by Pharrell Williams, and options to customize digital avatars through the Doodles Stoodio app.
The campaign will also see McDonald’s display Doodles-themed animations on its Times Square billboard to reach more people.
Customers can expect McDonald’s x Doodles merchandise, which will be available starting December 5. Rare enamel pins, which can begin as digital collectibles, will be redeemable for physical versions through the Doodles app. These pins will come in collector packs starting November 26.
This holiday campaign attracts various customers, from those who enjoy McDonald’s festive offerings to those interested in NFTs, providing something special for everyone this season.
While working hard to attract more people into its ecosystem, Doodles is actively building various features within its platform to grow the utility for its community. Some months ago, the NFT project debuted the Doodles TV Super Pass. This pass offers exclusive access to digital content, including animated shows and special episodes. To enhance the experience, Doodles has also released a soundtrack for fans to enjoy.
Since its debut in October 2021, Doodles has skillfully blended its non-fungible nature with the entertainment and food industries. Time will tell just how far this NFT project will go to bring the most utility to its community.
